This beautiful country provides some of the best scenery in the world. There are so many picturesque destinations, and when you have time and the open road, it may be difficult to choose where you want to spend your time. Here are some of the best destinations to choose for your next RV vacation.

Happy Travels!

California

The great state of California has arguably some of the most beautiful spots on the planet. It has something to offer for everyone; an amazing coastline that boasts both mountains and ocean all in one spot. It is an easy choice for your RV vacation since it has some of the best RV campgrounds in the country.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Campgrounds in Groveland is the choice for many vacationers visiting Yosemite National Park. It is located just 22 miles from the park, and is open year round. The campground offers wonderful amenities to the RVer including pull-thru and back-in RV camping sites, full or partial hook-ups, some spots have cable TV, petting zoo, clubhouse, picnic pavilions, play area, nature trails, gold mine and panning site, laundry facilities, and swimming pool.

Guest often use the park as their base for daily excursions which includes panning for gold or taking a chartered plane tour over the park to get a bird’s eye view of this scenic destination.

If you are looking for a high end RV park, then Durango RV Resort in Red Bluff, CA is your choice. With more than 170 fully paved pads and landscaped sites, this park is one you'll have to see to really appreciate. Some of the premium sites run along the beautiful Sacramento River. This first class resort has all the amenities the RVer can think of and more including 2 dog runs and a professional dog washing facility!

Montana

Yellowstone National Park in Montana is a premier destination for the open road RV adventure. It is the first National Park in the world and with over 2 million acres of picturesque land; it is easy to see why millions of people visit each year. The park boasts incredible wildlife, plants, and amazing geologic sites including over 300 geysers and more than 190 waterfalls.

This area is also home to one of the best RV parks in the country, Madison Arm Resort in West Yellowstone. Located just 8 miles from the entrance of the park, it is a top choice for the RVer that doesn't want to stay in crowded campgrounds within Yellowstone's grounds. The campground is located on the trout-filled waters of Hebgen Lake and you will be hard pressed NOT to see daily sightings of elk and bison.

Take a drive along Grand Loop Road and you will see the most famous geyser, Old Faithful. I dare to say visiting this area should definitely be on everyone's bucket list. Choose Rent for Fun, LLC in Nampa, ID, RentWoody.com or Dansvan RV Rental in WA for your RV rental of choice to visit Yellowstone and other amazing sites of the great Northwest.

Utah

If you are traveling to Utah, it is a must to stop in Moab and visit another one of the best RV destinations: Canyonlands National Park. The park is called the Island in the Sky and is the largest National Park in Utah. It is a showcase of geology with beautiful stone pillars, rock formations, and Indian rock paintings. The park offers some of the most spectacular and panoramic views in the country.

On a clear day, sightseers can see over 100 miles in any given direction. While there, the best stop to lay your head is the Squaw Flat Campground in the Needles District located within the park. The campground offers 26 camp sites and is open year round. It is an ideal base camp for any visitor to the park.

South Dakota

If you love American history, then head up to South Dakota to the Black Hills National Forest. There you can see the magnificent Mt. Rushmore. While there, the best place to park your RV is at the Horsetheif Lake Campground. Its central location within the Black Hills makes it an easy choice to spend the night or the week. You have easy access to the best spots of the area such as Custer State Park, Needles Highway, and Sylvan Lake.

Activities include rock climbing, exploring ghost towns, mines and caves, biking, fishing and horseback riding, to name just a few. It's an adventurer's oasis! After a day of fishing and horseback riding, enjoy your evening by viewing Mt. Rushmore at the lighting ceremony. You will also want to head over to the Crazy Horse Memorial which is larger than all four heads of Mt. Rushmore. Surely a remarkable site to see! For you RV rental, choose Colorado Camper Rental in Boulder, CO or Prosser RV in Milwaukee, WI for your South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, or Colorado destinations.

As you can tell, taking an RV vacation will craft many wonderful memories for you and your family. It truly is a wonderful decision to be able to spend quality time together all the while taking in some of the most famous and break taking sites the great country has to offer.
