While we hope you will join us for our entire season, we also offer nightly, weekly, and monthly RV site rentals. Located in Alton, NH and just south of Lake Winnipesaukee, there are plenty of great things to do both on and off-site.

We are located in one of the most beautiful places on the planet - right in the heart of New Hampshire's Lakes Region!!

Hiking, boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, golf and great shopping are all located very close to Turtle Kraal RV Park.

Additionally, just a short trip to Alton will provide you with all your gocery needs and access to laundry facilities.

To help you find some of the great things you can do locally, we provide the following information on local towns:

Alton Bay is an unincorporated village in the town of Alton, New Hampshire, located on Alton Bay, a 4-mile-long (6 km) cove of Lake Winnipesaukee which forms the southeasternmost point on the lake.

Mt. Major provides a great day hike with spectacular lake views.

Nestled on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipesaukee and surrounded by the pristine beauty of forests and mountains, Wolfeboro is a distinguished as "The Oldest Summer Resort in America."
Here you'll find a myriad of shops, art galleries and museums, as well as a tempting array of restaurants.

Home of Historic Weirs Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee and also home to Lake Winnisquam,

Laconia features great shopping and restaurants in multiple districts.

Historic old fashioned charm combines with the natural beauty of lakes and mountains in the quaint town of Meredith. A tourist favorite for generations, Meredith isnestled among New Hampshire's largest lakes - Winnipesaukee, Squam, Winnisquam, Waukewan, Kanasatka, Wicwas, Pemigewasset, and Winona.

The winter home of the M/S Mount Washington, the village of Center Harbor encourages visitors to visit the Meredith Chamber of Commerce page and the Lake Winnipesaukee Home Page.

Moultonborough is home to the "Castle in the Clouds", an estate set in the Ossipee Mountains. The property, with sweeping views of Lake Winnipesaukee, is a popular tourist attraction.

North of the Lakes Region is NH's White Mountains, including the popular Mount Washington Valley.

Both the NH and Maine Seacoasts are easily visited on a day trip from Turtle Kraal RV Park.

Guidelines

These guidelines have been established for your safety and for the safety and consideration of your fellow campers. Failure to follow these guidelines will force us into a position of having to ask you to terminate your stay earlier than you had planned.

CHECK-IN TIME is from 1:00p.m. through 5:00p.m. out of consideration for our other guests. There are NO refunds for early departures!

CHECK-OUT TIME is by 11:00a.m. After 11:00a.m. will result in another day’s charge.

ONLY ONE REGISTERED RV per site unless approved by the park office.

GUESTS –All guests must be registered with the park office. The park office must be informed if you are expecting visitors and they must leave by 9:00p.m. unless other arrangements have been made. If you are entertaining more than 2 visitors on your site during the day who are using the pool area, there will be a $10 charge/visitor/day. Seasonal guests, if you are entertaining more than 2 visitors, OVERNIGHT, there will be a charge of $10/visitor/night.

CHILDREN UNDER 18 are not allowed to camp without a parent or guardian.

SPEED LIMIT is a strict less than 10 MPH throughout the entire RV Park for the safety of all our guests, especially children and turtles. There are NO exceptions!

FIREWORKS OF ANY KIND ARE PROHIBITED.

ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES are PROHIBITED.

ELECTRIC Golf Carts are permitted. Proof of insurance required. Drivers must be 16 yrs. or older.

MOTORCYCLES and MOTORIZED ADULT SCOOTERS may be used as transportation directly to and from your site to RT. 28. They may not be used for your pleasure throughout the RV Park.

SKATEBOARDS are prohibited.

QUIET HOURS are from 9:00p.m. until 8:00a.m. This means quiet and is strictly enforced. Excessive noise will not be tolerated at any time.

THE WI-FI is FREE. When the service is up and running, we are Happy Campers! When the system is down, bottom line, it is what it is!

TURTLES are protected. DO NOT touch unless it is to remove them from a roadway to safety. DO NOT harm them or you will be reported. DO NOT touch or harm their eggs.

WETLAND MARKERS are NOT to be removed or tampered with. Wetlands are NOT to be disturbed. These areas are monitored by NH Dept. of Environmental Services!

BATHHOUSE – Please clean up after yourself! Do not wash dishes in the sinks! No unattended children or pets allowed inside or in the immediate area.

PLEASE do not walk through other sites. Use the roads provided and refer to the RV park map for the location of the common areas. Please respect your neighbor and their belongings.

CLOTHESLINES are not permitted.

BIRDFEEDERS are not permitted as they attract wildlife.

TRASH dumpster and cans are stationed in the RV Park. DO NOT leave trash, trash bags or food on your site as this will attract wild animals and become an unsafe situation. Dispose of properly! The dumpster is for trash that has been generated at the park. Please do not bring trash from your home to the park for disposal. No large items such as televisions and appliances in the dumpster! Please flatten cardboard boxes.

NO LIFEGUARD attends the pool and pond. Children under 14 yrs. of age must be accompanied by an adult, always. Pets are not permitted in or at the pool area. Please respect other guests while in use. For your safety, if there is a storm approaching, please leave the pool and pond area, IMMEDIATELY. There is a play area at the pond. DO NOT leave your trash behind.

PETS are permitted in the park. Pets must be registered. One pet per site please although permission from the park office may be granted for two. Pets must be leashed and cleaned up after. There is a Town of Alton leash law! Pets must be quiet. Pets must NEVER be left unattended under any circumstance! Pets are not permitted in or at the pool area.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES – please no alcoholic beverages in the public areas of the park as it is unlawful.

FIREWOOD – only locally harvested firewood is permitted. Please prevent insect infestations.

CAMPFIRES are permitted in certain areas of the park depending on weather conditions. Please check with park office. Campfires must be attended at all times and extinguished with water not sand or gravel. Campfires must be out before retiring for the night. Fire pits must be less than 2’ in diameter as permitted by the Town of Alton Fire and Rescue.

ENCLOSURES, STORAGE BINS/BUILDINGS, DECKS, ETC. must be approval by the park office and may require a building permit by The Town of Alton if not considered temporary.

BOATS/TRAILERS, OUTDOOR REFRIGERATORS/ FREEZERS, ETC. are not permitted on your site. Boats/trailers must be registered with the park office and parked a designated area.

TURTLE KRAAL RV PARK is not responsible for articles lost, stolen, or damaged or for damage to your RV, vehicles, boats, etc. Insure your possessions!
