“Vespa Rental Terms and Conditions”

1.To avoid unnecessary risk and put yourself in danger while on vacation previous experience of driving a scooter/motorbike is a must! Please note, your booking will not be refunded if you do not have previous experience.
2.Valid passport or identity card, credit card to pay the security deposit and valid driving license in Spain is required. Security deposit is 900 euro or for additional 10 euro you can reduce it to 300€ on your credit card. Please note, client is responsible for having the appropriate license and driving experience for the reservation he/she is making, otherwise no refund will be issued for the reservation.
3.The minimum age to drive a Vespa is 21 years old or 3 years of driving experience. Minimum age for children to be passenger is 7 years old.
4. A security deposit is required, then refunded after inspection when the Vespa is returned to the office. We will check the overall condition of the Vespa, the inventory and any damages. It can take up to 8 working days to have the security deposit unblocked on your credit card, but normally this is done within 2/3 days depending on your bank.
5.If a Vespa is returned after the agreed time, a penalty of 30 euros per hour will be applied, no matter how many minutes have lapsed into each extra hour.
6. If a fine or traffic penalty is received by the renter, the penalties must be assumed by the lessee, and we will charge the amount to the credit card provided plus a charge of 30 euros for fines management.
7.The renter must return the Vespa in good order and condition, agree to leave the Vespa free of all personal belongings, and return the Vespa to the Vespa Lovers´ office.
8.The renter is responsible for any damages, defects and harm to the Vespa, as well as for the loss of any of its parts during rental. In any such instances the renter will pay the respective amounts.
9.In the event of an accident or any health event happening to the renter, and/or other passengers on the Vespa, the Vespa Lovers is not held responsible.
10.All accidents or breakdowns involving third parties must be notified immediately to the Vespa Lovers. The Vespa is insured against accidents and liability with the limitations stated in the general and specific conditions of the policy.
11.The renter gives the right to use his/her credit card to compensate any fines sent to the Vespa Lovers which were incurred during rental.
12. In case of any damage created by the renter where the cost would exceed the deposit, and where the insurance company refuses to compensate the cost of damage, the difference will be compensated by the renter.
13. If the renter decides to come back earlier than the agreed time, the Vespa Lovers will keep full rental rate.
14.Full/Full refill petrol policy is applied. You will need to present the ticket from fuel station upon Vespa return.
15.This agreement is subject to Spanish Law. In order to resolve any doubt or difference of opinion between the parties regarding the compliance or interpretation of the terms of this agreement, both parties agree that they submit to the jurisdiction of the Tribunals of Palma de Mallorca and the higher authorities, waiving their own jurisdiction in case they have another one.
16. If the renter cancels the reservation at least 48hours before the pick-up, the amount of the booking will be refunded minus 10% for the administration fee. If the renter cancels less than 48 hours before the charter, no refund will be made. If the renter decides to end the rental before the agreed time, the unused hours will not be refunded.
