The campground is carry-in/carry-out. Please plan ahead and be ready to take your trash home with you. Chewonki’s Big Eddy Campground is a wilderness campground. Our stewardship goal is to maintain the natural beauty of Big Eddy for a true wilderness experience. Chewonki promotes low-impact camping and a thorough respect for the natural world.We do not have a telephone at the campground. Please email bigeddy@chewonki.org OR call 207-656-5925, and leave a detailed voice message and include your email so we can respond to you. Upon reservation, you will be asked to pay in full for your stay. If you are unsure of the number in your party, please reserve for one camper. Cancellation Policy:1)If a cancellation request is made prior to 30 days of arrival, a refund will be offered minus a $10 cancellation fee for a camp site or $15 fee for a cabin. 2) If a cancellation request is made within 30 days of reservation, no refund will be offered.
