Equipment Rentals
Here is a common example of how a business that rents out equipment would set up their rates. Equipment rentals could include boats, bikes, kayaks, surf boards, cameras or other electronic equipment.
Rate Categories
The typical rate set up for most businesses who rent equipment is to have hourly and daily rates. In addition, you may have rates for 2 hour or 4 hour rentals. The system handles these various rates by creating Rate Categories when the account is first set up. Rate categories can be easily modified based on your specific business structure. See the Rate Categories section of the help file to learn how to edit or add a rate category.
Rate List
In the Rate List, you will see your rental types listed in the Product column. The Rate Is column may vary if your rates are per person or per reservation. To understand each rate calculations, please see the Rate Calculations section of this help file. Here you will enter the rates for each time frame, i.e. hourly, 2 hour, 4 hour, or daily rental. If a time frame doesn't apply to one ore more product, then you should leave that field blank. See example below.

Rate Tester
After you set up your rates in the Rate List, it is always important to test the rates to make sure they calculate as you expect. In the example below, the Single Kayak was booked for 4 Hours for 4 people.
